Privacy Policy

This Policy sets out how personal data of proxyvpn.uk website users (the "Service") is processed, in line with Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27.07.2006 "On Personal Data".

1. Data controller

2. What data we collect

• On registration: email address, password (stored as an irreversible hash).
• On payment: order details (plan, term, amount, payment method, payment status). Bank card details and payment credentials are never passed to or stored by the Service — they are processed directly by the payment systems (YooKassa, NOWPayments, WebMoney) under their own policies.
• Technical account data: subscription identifier, expiry date of the paid period, number of connected devices (limit), total traffic used (aggregate only, not traffic content).
• Anonymized site-visit analytics: IP address with the last octet zeroed out (to determine country/city without precisely identifying a device), a hash of the User-Agent for grouping visits into sessions, pages visited, time on site, referrer. This data is not linked to a user account.

3. What we do not collect or store

We do not log or store which resources are visited through the VPN, traffic history, destination IP addresses, or the content of connections inside the VPN tunnel. This is a fundamental architectural feature of the Service, not just a stated promise.

4. Purposes of processing

• providing access to the VPN service and managing the subscription;
• processing payments and preventing fraud;
• user technical support;
• improving the site based on anonymized visit statistics.

5. Where data is stored

The Service's VPN infrastructure is physically located in several countries (Germany, UK, the US, Austria, Australia, Malaysia, Russia). User account data (email, subscription status) is stored separately, on a secured server operated by the hosting provider. This separation means account data and actual VPN traffic are processed on different infrastructure and are not linked to one another.

6. User rights

Under Article 14 of Federal Law 152-FZ, the user has the right to:

• request information about the data being processed;
• demand correction of inaccurate data;
• withdraw consent to processing and request deletion of data (except where retention is required to fulfil already-paid obligations or by law);
• delete their account entirely by contacting support.

7. Cookies and local storage

The site uses the browser's localStorage to remember the chosen theme (light/dark) and session cookies for account authentication. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.

8. Retention periods

Account data is kept for the lifetime of the account. Completed-order data is kept for as long as required for accounting and dispute resolution. Anonymized analytics is kept indefinitely, since it cannot be used to identify a specific person.

9. Changes to this Policy

The Controller may update the text of this Policy. The current version is always available at this address.
